Roblox Is Finally Headed To PlayStation Very Soon

One of the world’s most popular video games, Roblox, is finally making its way to PlayStation. As part of the Roblox Developers Conference, the company has confirmed that Roblox will be available on PlayStation 5 and the Meta Quest virtual reality platform in the near future.

Roblox will be launching on Meta Quest VR this month, while the PlayStation 5 version of the game will be released in October. During the keynote address, a live demonstration was shown on stage, featuring three players enjoying Roblox together on PS5, mobile, and Meta Quest VR. You can watch the demonstration here.

Originally launched in 2006 for PC, Roblox later expanded to mobile devices. The game made its way to Xbox in 2015, and now it’s finally coming to PlayStation and VR.

During the conference, Roblox founder David Baszucki mentioned that there are plans for the game to be available on “more platforms” in the future, with the Nintendo Switch being a strong possibility.

With over 65 million daily players, Roblox is known for its user-generated content and collaborations with popular brands like Chipotle. Similar to Fortnite, the game also hosts in-game concerts, such as the highly successful Lil Nas X concert in 2020.

In a recent interview with Decoder, Baszucki shared his vision for the future of Roblox. You can watch the interview above.
